Hey mama! Ready to relax? We've got the perfect recipe for relaxation especially for you. When the kiddos are snug in bed, splurge a little onyour time tonight! You deserve it, ladies. Just get your candles ready and follow this quick list and you've got your own persnal spa at home!
1. The bath:
Homemade bath salts
If you're more of a soap person, here's a super simple recipe for a homemade bubble bath (Or you can use Little Roseberry's Berry Shiny Body Wash, both are made with all-natural ingredients and essential oils) :
Just take 1 cup liquid Castile soap (Keep some for your kiddos to use later by using baby mild so it’s tear free), 3/4 cup water, 1 Tbsp vegetable glycerine (this gives it the extra bubbliness!) and 30 drops of essential oils (lavender is perfect for maximizing the zen in your experience) Then just add all of these ingredients to a refillable bottle and shake! That's it!
2. The wine:
Some of our favorite wines on a budget are Alamos Malbec (about $7), Pepperwood Grove Cabernet ($6) and Woodbridge Pinot Grigio ($7) Sit in the tub and have a glass. Or three? We won't judge.
3. The book:
For a perfect summer/bath time read, we recommend The Art of Dancing in the Rain by Garth Stein (get your tissues ready), 'Are you there Vodka, It's me Chelsea' by Chelsea Handler (Again, get the tissue ready, this time because you'll be laughing so hard tears will follow) and The History of Love (if you're ready to swoon) by Nicole Krauss.
